Our Mission and Vision

The Mission of Artworks Art Center is to provide structures and systems to support artists and to bring art and creativity to the community.

Our Vision is that the arts can nurture hope and help develop a rich artistic and creative ecosystem in our region.

Teaching Artist Program

A vibrant Teaching Artist Program will offer a roster of programs by Teaching Artists trained in the most recent pedagogical approaches that will ensure the deeper needs in our schools and communities are addressed.

The Artist Roster will also offer art experiences for hospitals, organizations and other groups who want to address how art can benefit a variety of health and social issues.

Artists Opportunities

We are building partnerships to provide business and entrepreneurship opportunties for area artists through internships, lectures, workshops and other programs.

Curriculum

One of the things that makes us different is that our artists based programming circles back to serving the youth in our communities. Part of supporting artists is sharing out their work. We do this through curriculum development and educational opportunties.
